In May, the frontlines were granted visas at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) while this time 90 doctors were given the same visa in Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital confirmed by the same institution.
They have been given the 10-year residence visa considering their active involvement in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and their efforts and dedication in treating the COVID survivors. As it was announced last year, the golden visa is a 10-year long permanent residency visa granted to doctors, scientists, innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs who have made a name for themselves in the emirate in the following sectors.
In the first call, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, had given a directive based on which the 212 doctors were granted this service.
Dr Abdulla Al Khayat, CEO of Al Jalila Children's Hospital, said: "We thank our wise leadership for this gesture of appreciation to our doctors. It is not only an appreciation to the doctors that received it but to each and every team member in Al Jalila Children's and for the hospital as a whole. This generous gesture gives us great motivation to continue working tirelessly to provide the highest level of quality care to our young patients and their families."
The first and the only paediatric hospital in the UAE was inaugurated on November 1, 2016 and exhibits an ultra modern 200-bed facility and world class health experts.
