In a bid to strengthen the implementation of Covid-19 safety protocols and take measures to ensure that proper requirements are fulfilled at workplaces, the Abu Dhabi government has decided to call for a 30 per cent reduction in the workplace workforce. Apart from government facilities, semi-government entities will also have to follow these regulations.
Through this measure, the Abu Dhabi government aims to protect the government employees as well as their families. The employees who can work remotely, have been already granted permission to carry out their work from home.
Even the capital department of the government has also approved the decision for the remote working of the employees especially for those who are above the age 60 or are suffering from chronic health diseases. This also includes those who have been diagnosed with weak immunity.

The Abu Dhabi media office tweed on Saturday saying, “The Department of Government Support has approved reducing attendance at the workplace in Abu Dhabi government and semi-government entities to 30 per cent, to bolster precautionary measures implemented in the emirate and protect the health of employees and their families.”
Abu Dhabi officials are taking important measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus and one of the many steps taken to do so was mandating the activation of the Al Hosn application for those who are seeking to enter the capital. Other than that Abu Dhabi also announced updates in the rules around the mandatory testing for the residents entering the emirate within the UAE.
The entry of the residents in Abu Dhabi will only be allowed if they have a negative PCR test with them. The measure was made effective from February 1. Those who have DPI tests with them, can also enter the emirate but only on conduction that the test must have been taken only 24 hours before and not more.
The cinema halls in the emirate have also been ordered to temporarily close down in the wake of an increasing number of Covid-19 virus cases.
